Naver is launching a new AI advertising service called ADVoost Max, which integrates ads directly into its AI Briefing (AI 브리핑) summaries. With the AI Briefing service boasting 30 million Monthly Active Users (MAU), this update represents a significant shift towards monetizing AI search results. Naver already saw a 9.3% year-over-year increase in Q1 advertising revenue, with AI contributing to over 50% of that growth.
How Naver AI Ads (ADVoost Max) Works
Naver AI Ads are displayed within the AI Briefing section of the Naver SERP.
Only ADVoost (Broad Match) Search Ads are eligible for this AI ad exposure upon official release (July 15, 2026).
The Naver AI Agent analyzes the user's search context, exploration stage, and search flow to determine the most suitable placement for the ad.
The ads can appear between paragraphs or at the bottom of the AI Briefing content.
If the AI Agent determines that an ad is not appropriate for a specific AI Briefing, no ad will be shown.

AI-Generated Ad Copy
Ads will be displayed in a text format that blends naturally with the AI Briefing content.
The Naver AI Agent automatically writes the ad copy using information from your Naver Advertiser Center and landing page.
Advertisers cannot manually edit the ad copy generated by the AI.
Settings, Targeting, and Bidding
Settings Configuration: Naver AI Ads can be enabled or disabled at the Ad Group level within the existing "Broad Match by ADVoost" settings.
Default Status: For advertisers already using broad match, this feature is turned ON by default at launch.
Targeting Variables: Advertisers can set Time/Day targeting.
Targeting Limitations: Region, Gender, Age, and User Segment targeting act only as signals for the AI Agent to select ads, and performance metrics for these specific targets are not provided separately.
Negative Keywords: Because the ads do not match directly with user search terms, negative keywords are not supported and will not function for ADVoost Max.
Bidding (CPC): The system operates on a Cost-Per-Click (CPC) basis.
Pricing Automation: The CPC is automatically determined based on the average price of Powerlink ads related to the AI Briefing content, and advertisers cannot set manual bids.

Reporting with ADVoost Max Insight
Naver provides a dedicated "ADVoost Max Insight" report to track performance.
Performance Summary Tab: Advertisers can view performance data by date, similar to standard ad management screens.
View My Ad Tab: This tab reveals the specific stage where the ad was exposed and shows the exact ad copy written by the AI Agent.
Update Frequency: The content in the "View My Ad" tab updates every Monday.
Data Integration: Standard multi-dimensional and large-capacity reports will only show the total sum of ADVoost Max results without separate breakdowns.

Industry Restrictions
Due to review and compliance issues, campaigns in the Finance/Insurance, Health Functional Foods, and Medical sectors are strictly prohibited from using ADVoost Max.
